Welcome Back!

Families, Faculty, and Staff,

We are thrilled to welcome students, families, and staff back to school for another exciting academic year! As we embark on this new journey together, we are filled with anticipation for the many opportunities and experiences that lie ahead.

As we begin a new school year, we welcome William Delvalle (Spanish), Jessica Dankowitz (Music), Eddie Demera (Science Lab), Lynn Mckee (Grade 4), Sophia DeMartino (Grade 8), Lisa Scolaro (PKA), Zindee Espinal (PKB) Desiree Guinta (3KA), and Danyce Alonzo (3KB). Please visit our faculty and staff page to learn more about all of our teachers!

We are committed to fostering a strong sense of community, collaboration, and academic excellence. Over the past few years, we've made a significant investment in Responsive Classroom training and support. This approach to education focuses on creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel safe, connected, and engaged. Our dedicated staff has been working diligently to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment where every student can reach their full potential. To prepare for this school year, our teachers have participated in specialized courses and workshops. These trainings have equipped them with valuable tools and strategies to implement Responsive Classroom principles in their classrooms.

We are delighted to share some exciting news about recent capital improvements at Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Academy. Thanks to your generous support and the dedication of our school community, we have been able to make significant upgrades to our facilities. One of our most notable improvements is the overhaul of our library. The space has been refreshed with fresh paint and brand-new furniture. The new furnishings not only create a cozy and inviting atmosphere but also provide flexible learning spaces that cater to students of all ages. In addition to the library, a new entryway was installed at Door B, a new roof was installed and we have repainted our halls and classrooms to repair some water damage and to create a more vibrant and welcoming learning environment. These updates are a testament to our commitment to providing a high-quality education in a safe and nurturing environment.

We encourage parents and guardians to stay informed about school activities and events through our school website, Class Dojo, and our App. Your involvement in your child's education is invaluable, and we look forward to partnering with you to ensure their success. Welcome again and see you soon!

Best,
Stephanie Germann
