Distance Learning: Week 2

March 27, 2019

Dear parents, guardians, and faculty,

As we close out the second week of distance learning, I cannot help but feel grateful. I am grateful for all of the talented, dedicated educators at SJWCA who have spent countless hours over the last two weeks collaborating with each other and working with their students; educators who immediately embraced distance learning as their new normal so that their students would not miss a beat.
I am grateful for our families, who continue to support our school community. Please know that we are here for you.  I understand that this has not been easy for you either. Many families are juggling child care, working from home and doing their best to support their children in navigating their digital classrooms. Please know we appreciate you and your children very much.
I am grateful for our students as they are the reason we show up every day and do the work we do. Our students continue to inspire me each day with their resilience and persistence. I know this has been a challenge for them as they learn to work and interact with their teachers and classmates in a digital space. Please know we are all here to support them in any way that we can.
Thank you for choosing Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Academy. I will continue to keep our entire school community in my thoughts and prayers. Stay safe and healthy. Enjoy your weekend!
