Dress down fundraiser on 3/16 for the people of Ukraine

Families, Faculty, and Staff,

Ukraine, a country known for its beautiful landscapes, and culture, is now the site of an awful war in which many people have lost everything. In an effort to support Ukraine, many of our students have participated in prayer chains, and daily prayers to end the war and protect the people of Ukraine.

Tomorrow SJWCA is hosting two prayer services in which our school community will pray together for Ukraine and its people. Grades 1-4 will attend the prayer service at 12:40 pm and grades 5-8 will join the service at 1:15 pm.

In addition, the central office’s Pontifical Mission Societies, Missio, is collecting donations for a Ukraine Relief Fund. We are encouraging all students, and faculty to dress down in yellow and blue on Wednesday, March 16th to support this fund. Any monies collected on Wednesday will be donated to the Missio Ukraine Relief Fund. Feel free to send in whatever you are comfortable donating with your child on Wednesday or through Venmo @sjwca. We ask that if you use Venmo, please indicate “Ukraine” or simply put their flag in the subject so we know what your donation is for.
