On Monday, March 26, SJWCA inducted its first members into the new chapter of the Junior National Honor Society.
National Junior Honor Society: This school year, with the help of Mr. Malafronte, our ELA jr. high teacher, a chapter of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) was officially established at SJWCA. NJHS is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle school students. It honors those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. Members must be either 7th or 8th graders who have achieved an overall average of 90 or better. Additionally, students must fill out an application to become a member of the NJHS, outlining their qualities in Leadership, Citizenship, Character, and Service. Congratulations to fourteen of our students who were inducted on March 25th.
