6th-8th Grade ELA Teacher

Daphne Stephens is the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade ELA teacher. This is Daphne’s fourth year teaching at St. Joseph but, her 16th year teaching. She absolutely loves working with middle schoolers and looks forward to exploring, and learning together.

Daphne has a master's degree in education, focused on 4th through 8th grades. Prior to coming to SJWCA, she taught technology and was in charge of everything with a plug. While she loves technology, she finds great value in pencils, paper, and projects. 

Daphne has lived in Texas, Alaska, Florida, and Georgia. Recently, Daphne and her 20-year-old daughter moved to NYC from just outside of Atlanta, GA. She also has a younger brother, niece, and parents who live in Augusta, GA. 

We are going to have another great year! No matter what the world throws at us, we can handle it.
