Kellyann Doran taught for 31 years as a Pre-Kindergarten through Second Grade teacher.  She finished her first year as the UPK Educational Director and is excited to see the program expand this year. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from St. John's University. Ms. Doran began teaching in Brooklyn at St. Catherine of Genoa as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher. Ms. Doran worked at St. Catherine of Genoa for five years and then decided to find a school closer to home and worked at St. Raphael School in Long Island City as a Pre- Kindergarten teacher teaching three and four year old's. She was then given the opportunity to teach Kindergarten and then First Grade. Ms. Doran worked at St. Raphael's for sixteen years. When St. Raphael closed, she was hired to teach First Grade at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Academy. While working there, she decided to go back to school to pursue her master's degree. She went to Touro College and received her Master of Science in Special Education and now holds two licenses: Students with Disability Birth - 2 and General Education 1-6. 

Ms. Doran grew up in Queens and still resides there.  Growing up, she spent summers at her family home in Sag Harbor. Now living on the border of Long Island, she lives in a beautiful courtyard taking care of her garden, sitting outside with friends, spending time with family, but most importantly enjoying her precious time with her puppy, Riley.
